LSI SAS Storage SNMP Agent 17.0

LSI SAS Storage SNMP Agent is a lightweight monitoring component that exposes health and status information from servers equipped with LSI SAS/MegaRAID storage controllers via SNMP. It lets your network management system poll key metrics and receive real‑time traps, enabling proactive monitoring and alerting for storage hardware.

Key capabilities:

• SNMP polling and trap delivery (SNMPv2c/v3 recommended) for centralized monitoring
• Visibility into controller health, logical volumes, physical disks, enclosures, temperatures, cache policy, and battery/BBU status
• Alerts for drive failures, predictive faults, array degradation, rebuild and consistency‑check progress, battery learn cycles, and cache/offload events
• Integrates with common NMS tools (for example, Zabbix, Nagios, PRTG, SolarWinds) using the appropriate LSI/Avago/Broadcom MIBs
• Designed for low overhead and continuous operation on supported Windows and Linux hosts

Notes:

• Requires compatible LSI SAS/MegaRAID controllers, drivers, and management utilities, plus the corresponding MIB files
• For security, prefer SNMPv3 with strong authentication and restrict access to trusted monitoring hosts
• Ensure UDP ports 161/162 are permitted if traps and polling are used
